New Job, Again.....
Since moving, I have been substitute teaching for the past year. I have been subbing long term in a special eduction classroom, like the one I had in Salem, for the past month and a half until the end of the year. We just found out the the teacher (who is on maternity leave) and I have been approved to job-share next year! This will work out perfectly for both of us, as I really don't want to work full time yet with Kaylee being so young and the possibility of another anytime after the fall. (We have started the adoption process again and are open to either boy or girl, but want to wait until I start the school year before I have to take time off...) Anyway...I am excited to jobshare in a classroom I enjoy. It is weird how it came about, I was subbing in the resource room at the school and just went into the self-contained classroom to see if I could help, introduced myself to the teacher and she mentioned she was going to be going on maternity leave and to jobshare with someone in the fall. It is an awesome position. Best thing, I get to do what I love, part-time, and still be able to stay home with Kaylee! I will only be 2 days one week, 3 days the next alternating. Which will be good for Kaylee. She had a rough first week at daycare. She didn't want me to leave and was crying every morning, which is very hard. Next year will be a lot better!!
