Waiting family gathering

I went to a "Waiting Family Gathering" on Wednesday at Catholic Charities. They usually have them every other month. This month was a panal of 3 birthmothers. It was interesting to hear their stories and what their relationship is with the child. Most had visits once a month and special occasions and it works out great for all involved so far. It also was interesting to hear what they looked for as they were considering adoptive parents. A lot of them looked for a big family (cousins, grandparents, etc.) close by for a support network. They really just encouraged being yourself and having open, honest communication. Keep praying that we get matched soon with the perfect baby girl and right birthmom!
